House Earns ECAC Hockey Player of the Week Nod

ALBANY, N.Y. - Graduate student Taylor House has been named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week for her performance in two games against No. 9/10 Providence, as announced by the league on Oct. 18.

House scored two goals through the Bobcats' two-game weekend, which included two ties against the Friars. On Friday, the Friars held a 1-0 lead until House scored to tie the game in the third period off a tip-in goal. The next day, she tied the game again after Providence took a 1-0 lead in the second period. House scored off a rebounded shot by graduate student Renee Saltness to tie the game 1-1.

The Joliet, Ill., native has three goals and two assits in her first eight games this season. She has tallied a +4 on-ice rating with one game-winning goal this season.

The Bobcats remain unbeaten through the team's first eight game of the season, tallying a 6-0-2 record. Quinnipiac will be back in action on Oct. 29-30 against Brown and Yale to begin ECAC Hockey play.
