Softball Set to Complete Second Half of The Spring Games

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. - The Quinnipiac softball team is set to complete the second half of The Spring Games this week. The Bobcats will be back in action on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday against Central Michigan, Toledo, Creighton, Brown and Lafayette.

Scouting the Competition
Central Michigan will face the Bobcats for the second and third time of the tournament with a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 10. The Chippewas have won three of their last five games, including one against Quinnipiac and two against Loyola and St. Bonaventure.
The Toledo Rockets are 9-10 on the season and have dropped the last six games. The Rockets competed at the Tennessee Tournament March 6-8 and lost to the Volunteers, Stanford and Eastern Tennessee State. The Bulter Bulldogs are 14-7 this year and are 2-3 in the last five games. The Bulldogs recently competed in the Memphis Tournament, playing Western Carolina, Indiana State, Memphis, Belmont and Youngstown State.
Creighton is 3-2 in the last five games and is 11-10 this year. The other two teams that the Bobcats will take on are Brown and Lafayette. The Brown Bears are 1-9 this year, the Lafayette Leopards come to Madeira Beach with a 1-11 record overall.
Last Time Out
The Bobcats look to turn things around after opening play in Florida with a 1-3 record. Quinnipiac dropped three games to Merrimack, Florida Gulf Coast and Central Michigan, and defeated Holy Cross.
