Robinson Earns First Win at Quinnipiac

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Quinnipiac volleyball team picked up their first win of the season as it swept Seton Hall 3-0. Head Coach Kyle Robinson picks up his first win as Bobcat Head Coach.

The Bobcats win today marks their first win over a BIG EAST opponent since 9/10/16 when they defeated Providence. The win is the sixth win ever against a BIG EAST opponent, and first against Seton Hall.

SET ONE
Gabby Horman and Morgan Sherwin combined for a block and a Maggie Baker ace got the Bobcats going in the set. The Bobcats would continue to roll as Seton Hall needed a timeout with Quinnipiac leading 19-14. The Bobcats would continue to hit and serve well to close out the set 25-19.

SET TWO
Both teams would alternate points in the beginning part of the set, leading to a 6-6 tie. A Gabby Horman kill would bring the score to 8-7 in favor of the Bobcats. Seton Hall would go on a run to gain the lead 15-12, but a Gabby Horman block and a Maggie Baker kill would push the score to 15 all. A Seton Hall attacking error would give the Bobcats a 17-16 lead.

SET THREE
Bobcats would get out to a 4-3 lead in the set. A Kaleigh Oates kill would give the Bobcats an 11-9 lead. Morgan Sherwin would block a Seton Hall attack to give the Bobcats a 15-13 lead. The Bobcats would continue to fight through the middle of the set. Successful serves and attacks would give the Bobcats the lead for good as they would not look back and win the set 25-21.
