Softball to Host Rider for Senior Day, Announces Schedule Change

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac softball team is set to host Rider in the final home doubleheader of the season and will honor the five seniors with a pregame ceremony. In addition, a schedule change has been announced: the doubleheader against Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., has been canceled.

Last Time Out
The Bobcats played two MAAC doubleheaders last week, taking on Siena and Marist. Siena edged Quinnipiac in both games, but the Bobcats split the doubleheader with Marist, winning the second game, 6-0. Freshman Lauren King pitched 10.1 innings against the Red Foxes and earned her seventh win of the season.
The Bobcats totaled nine hits in the 6-0 shutout win, with freshman Alexis Otero leading the way. Otero went 2-4 with three RBIs and one run.
Scouting Rider
The Broncs stand at 7-33 overall and 3-7 MAAC record after spliting a doubleheader with Fairleigh Dickinson on April 17. Kasey Marigliano leads Rider with a .297 batting average with 35 hits, 16 runs and three doubles. In the circle, Brooklyn Trujillo leads the team with a 4.74 ERA through 79.2 innings pitched. Debra Jones leads the team with 53 strikeouts.
