Saints Come to Hamden for Sunday Doubleheader

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac softball team will host the Siena Saints on Sunday, April 14 with the first pitch at 11 a.m. The Bobcats are 13-24 overall with a 4-4 record in the MAAC, and the Saint will come to Quinnipiac with a 10-16 overall record and a 3-3 MAAC record.
Quinnipiac softball will celebrate its alunmae on Sunday with a special Alumnae Day recognition before the first game of the doubleheader begins.

*The original start time was scheduled for 12 p.m., but due to incoming weather, the start time was pushed forward to 11 a.m.
Last Time Out
The Bobcats played two non-conference doubleheaders against Hartford and Sacred Heart this past week. Quinnipiac split with both teams, taking a 6-0 win against the Hawks and a 8-6 win against the Pioneers. Quinnipiac came back from being down 5-0 in the win against Sacred Heart after back-to-back homeruns from senior Erin Larsen and sophomore Brighid Douglas.
Scouting the Saints
Siena is coming off a 1-1 day against the Marist Red Foxes. The Saints lost the first game, 6-0, and won the second, 5-3. Madysen Cossack leads the Saints with a .443 average with 35 hits, 14 runs, seven doubles and four homeruns. Brooke Hughes leads the team in the circle with a 3.77 ERA throught 61.1 innings pitched with 41 strikeouts.
