Softball Splits with Blue Devils

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac softball team split a doubleheader with Central Connecticut State University, winning the second game, 5-4, and dropping the first game 3-0.

Quinnipiac will host the first home game of the season against Brown on Tuesday, March 26.
Game 1 vs the Blue Devils
- The Bobcats gave up two runs in the third and one run in the fourth inning against CCSU with one error in the loss.
- Freshmen Lo Yarnall and Bridget Nasir, sophomores Brighid Douglas and Kayla Jensen and seniors Eric Larsen and Taylor Troyan all recorded at least one hit.
- Jensen has tallied at least one hit in her last nine games to lead the Bobcats.
- Freshman Lauren King pitched three innings and had four strikeouts. The freshman moves to 3-3 on the season in the circle.
Game 2 vs the Blue Devils
- The Bobcats scored twice in the fifth inning to secure the win over the Blue Devils, 5-4.
- Freshman Alexis Otero led the team going 3-4 with one run and two RBI.
- Larsen went 2-3 with two runs and one RBI.
- Jensen was walked twice and went 1-2 with one run and one RBI.
