Bobcats Wrap Up Competition at Liberty Softball Classic

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Quinnipiac softball team dropped the last three games in the Liberty Softball Classic. The Bobcats finished a delayed game against Cleveland State today but lost 6-1. The Sacred Heart Pioneers defeated Quinnipiac, 8-0, and Rutgers won, 9-1.
Highlights vs Cleveland State:
The Bobcats will play three games against Eastern Illinois and Colgate before the USF Under Armour Showcase begins, which is being hosted by the University of South Florida. Quinnipiac will play Eastern Illinois on March 12 in Clearwater, Fla.
Highlights vs Cleveland State:
- Sophomore Brighid Douglas went 1-3 against the Cleveland State Vikings.
- Senior Taylor Troyan went 1-1.
- Freshman Hannah Davis had one RBI.
- Freshman Lauren King got the start and pitched 3.1 innings and then senior Kendall Brundrett came in to pitch 2.2.
- Sophomore Kayla Jensen went 1-2 with one run and one RBI to lead the Bobcats.
