CAMBRIDGE, Mass.– No. 15 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey fell in an ECAC Hockey contest, 7-2, vs. No. 18/15 Harvard on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
Wyatt Bongiovanni (Birmingham, Mich.) and Nick Jermain (Norwalk, Conn.) scored the two goals for Quinnipiac. Bongiovanni scored on a power play in the second period, then Jermain scored just 18 seconds into the third stanza.

- (7:55, 1st period) – Harvard 1, Quinnipiac 0: The Crimson got on the board first less than eight minutes into action, as Henry Bowlby scored his second goal of the season. R.J. Murphy made a 2-on-1 feed to Bowlby – who put it away to give Harvard the lead.
- (13:35, 1st period) – Harvard 2, Quinnipiac 0: Jack Drury scored his second goal of the season to make it a two-goal lead for Harvard, netting a power play goal with less than seven minutes left in the first.
- (18:59 1st period) – Harvard 3, Quinnipiac 0: Justin Szeto then delivered a feed to Murphy – who found the back of the net to extend the Harvard lead to three goals.
- (1:18 2nd period) – Harvard 3, Quinnipiac 1: Wyatt Bongiovanni got the Bobcats on the board less than two minutes into the second period. Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minn.) won a face-off in the offensive zone, then Karlis Cukste (Riga, Latvia) collected the puck and played it over to Bongiovanni. The sophomore buried the shot for his fifth goal of the year, a 5-on-3 score.
- (17:36 2nd period) – Harvard 4, Quinnipiac 1: Casey Dornbach scored for the Crimson with less than three minutes remaining in the second period, placing a shot into the right side of the net to extend the Harvard lead back to three goals.
- (19:14 2nd period) – Harvard 5, Quinnipiac 1: Henry Thrun then added a goal of his own for the Crimson just before the second intermission.
- (00:18 3rd period) – Harvard 5, Quinnipiac 2: William Fällström (Stockholm, Sweden) won a face-off back to captain Nick Jermain just 18 seconds into the third, and the senior blasted the puck in for Quinnipiac's second goal of the night.
- (03:47 3rd period) – Harvard 6, Quinnipiac 2: Jack Rathbone added to the Crimson lead with a goal of his own, scoring from out in front to make it 6-2.
- (08:15 3rd period) – Harvard 7, Quinnipiac 2: John Farinacci added Harvard's seventh goal of the night 8:15 into the third period.
- Bongiovanni's goal is his fifth of 2019. He now has seven total points for the season, and 30 points in his Quinnipiac career.
- Jermain's goal is his fourth of the season, and his 18th career score. He finishes the Bobcats' opening weekend of league play with a goal in each contest.
- Tufto recorded his team-high 11th assist on Bongiovanni's goal. He is just six points away from 100, as he now has 94 career points (24 goals, 70 assists) over his QU career. He has assisted on a goal in nine of 10 Quinnipiac games this year, recording a helper in six straight.
- Tufto now leads ECAC Hockey with 11 assists and is tied for the league-lead with 11 points.
- Fällström's assist is his third of the season. He won the face-off on Jermain's goal, playing the puck back to the captain to set up QU's second score of the night to give him points in back-to-back games.
- First-year goaltender Evan Fear (Winnetka, Ill.) made his second appearance of the season, playing the final 40 minutes of the contest and making 12 total saves.
- Quinnipiac is now 14-16-5 in 35 meetings against Harvard dating back to Quinnipiac joining ECAC Hockey in 2005-06.
- The Bobcats return to action on Friday, Nov. 15, hosting Union at the People's United Center in Hamden at 7:00 p.m.
