HANOVER, N.H. – No. 15 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey played to a tie at Dartmouth, 2-2, in the program's ECAC Hockey opener on Friday, Nov. 8 at Thompson Arena.
Senior captain Nick Jermain (Norwalk, Conn.) scored in the first period, then first-year forward Ethan Leyh (Anmore, British Columbia) netted a goal in the second for the Bobcats – who move to 4-3-1 in 2019-20.

SCORING SUMMARY
- (3:36, 1st period) – Dartmouth 1, Quinnipiac 0: The Big Green got on the board first, as Daniel Warpecha scored his second goal of the season on the power play.
- (6:08, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 1, Dartmouth 1: The Bobcats evened the score less than three minutes later on a power play of their own. Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minn.) carried the puck into the slot and passed it over to Ethan de Jong (North Vancouver, British Columbia), who delivered a perfect pass to Nick Jermain out in front of the net. The captain blasted a one-timer into the back of the cage for his third goal of the season.
- (8:43, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 2, Dartmouth 1: Ethan Leyh gave the Bobcats a lead in the second period. William Fällström (Stockholm, Sweden) played the puck in toward net, then the first-year forward redirected the puck in from the doorstep for his third career goal.
- (9:43, 3rd period) – Quinnipiac 2, Dartmouth 2: Tyler Campbell scored the first goal of his career for the Big Green midway through the third, poking a loose puck into the back of the net.
- Jermain's goal is his third of 2019-20, and the 17th of his 97-game career at Quinnipiac. The captain scored in the season opener against AIC, then recorded another goal on Oct. 27 in Hamden vs. Vermont.
- Leyh's goal is his third over the first seven games of his collegiate career.
- With an assist, de Jong now has three goals and three helpers for six total points in 2019. The sophomore has 31 career points in 46 contests.
- Tufto is just seven points away from 100, as he now has 93 career points (24 goals, 69 assists) over his QU career. He has assisted on a goal in eight of nine Quinnipiac games this year, recording a helper in five straight.
- Fallstrom's assist is his second of the year, and 15th of his career.
- Quinnipiac is now 21-10-3 all-time against Dartmouth.
- The Bobcats return to play on Saturday, Nov. 9, taking on No. 15/18 Harvard from Bright-Landry Hockey Center in Cambridge at 7:00 p.m.
