Samoskevich Invited to USA Hockey's 2019 Women's Winter Training Camp

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey has announced 46 players who will participate in the 2019 USA Hockey Women's Winter Training Camp, which includes Quinnipiac's own Melissa Samoskevich '19. The training camp will take place from Dec. 9-13 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn., as announced by USA Hockey on Nov. 21.
Twenty-two players, including Samoskevich, who were members of the U.S. Women's National Team that won gold at the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship, will participate in the training camp. Of the 46 total athletes participating, 21 play in the NCAA and 25 are postgraduates.
A select group of 23 players will be chosen to represent the U.S. Women's National Team in the 2019-20 Rivalry Series against Canada. The first game will be played on Dec. 14 in Hartford, Conn., and the second will be on Dec. 17 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
