HAMDEN, Conn. - Members of the Quinnipiac women's basketball team visited Hamden Middle School last week as part of the program's continued efforts to give back to the local community.

Players participated in question & answer sessions with the students and hosted a basketball clinic in the school's gymnasium.
"Spending the day at Hamden Middle School really opened my perspective to how diverse Hamden is as a community," said senior Taylor Herd. "I gained a new appreciation for teachers who encourage their students to accept each other regardless of their differences. We saw a few familiar faces of girls who attend our summer camp and it's always humbling when kids recognize you from the games they come to see with their families. Huge thank you to those who coordinated the opportunity to inspire and be inspired!"
