QU Softball Falls to Yale at Home in Chris' Game

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac softball team fell to Yale 8-0 in the third annual Chris' Game on Wednesday afternoon at the QU Softball Field.

The Bobcats will be back in action when they travel to Marist for a MAAC doubleheader on Saturday, April 14. The first game starts at noon.

- Prior to Chris' Game, the two teams held a ceremony on the field to celebrate the life of Chris Labbadia.
- Abbey Long got the start for the Bobcats and took the loss.
- Kendall Brundrett relieved Long in the fourth inning and pitched 1.1 innings of shutout ball.
- Miranda Magana and Brighid Douglas picked up the lone hits for the Bobcats.
- Yale got on the board early, tallying five runs in the first three innings.
- The Bulldogs added three more runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 8-0.
- Quinnipiac was unable to plate a run in the fifth, securing the 8-0 win for Yale.
