
Brian Feldman Scores 100th Career Goal, but QU Men's Lacrosse Falls at Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Senior Brian Feldman became only the fourth player in school history to score 100 career goals with a third-quarter tally, but the Fairfield men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-0 lead and was able to hold off a Quinnipiac comeback to capture a 9-6 win over teh Bobcats on Tuesday afternoon at Rafferty Stadium.

- Senior midfielder Brian Feldman became only the fourth player in Quinnipiac history to score 100 goals and the first since twin brothers Mike Baglio and Joe Baglio both reached the milestone in 2002. Alan LoGiudice ('01) is the only other Bobcat player in the century club.
- Fairfield jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the Bobcats got on the board with 6:07 left in the half on a goal from senior long-stick midfielder Adam Bellamy.
- After the Stags extended the lead to 8-1 at the half, Quinnipiac outscored Fairfield 3-0 in the third quarter to claw within 8-4 heading into the final stanza.
- Feldman started the run with his 100th goal off a feed from freshman midfielder Sam Witt just 1:53 into the second half
- Senior Ryan Corcoran and sophomore Tyler Mackay extended the Bobcats run with goals at the 4;35 and 1:00 mark in the third.
- Fairfield ended the run with a goal at the 11;15 mark of the fourth quarter for their only goal of the second half.
- Senior Ryan Lawson and Witt added fourth quarter goals to get the Bobcats within 9-6, but they could come no closer.
- Quinnipiac held a 37-31 shot advantage for the game in a losing cause
- Witt was the only Bobcat with multiple points (one goal, one assist)
- Senior defenseman Riley Palmer led the Bobcats with five ground balls.
- Sean McKee had 13 saves and only allowed six goals for Fairfield, while Joe Zukauskas had 10 saves for the Bobcats
