QU Softball Splits with UMass Lowell; Wins Game One 2-1, Falls in Game Two 9-0

HAMDEN, Conn. - Red-shirt senior Keilani Finley drilled the game-winning two run double in the sixth inning to give Quinnipiac a 2-1 game one win over UMass Lowell on Sunday, March 25 at the QU Softball Field. Casey Herzog got the win in game one and recorded her 400th career strikeout of her career, making her the second player in program history to achieve the feat. After taking game one against the River Hawks, the Bobcats fell 9-0 in game two.

- With runners on second and third and two outs, Keilani stepped to the plate and doubled to left center to drive in the game-tying and game-winning run.
- Kendall Brundrett got the start and took the loss.
- Brundrett gave up three earned runs and struck out two in the loss.
- In 2.2 innings of relief, freshman Haley Hulitt gave up one hit, no runs and struck out a batter.
- Lexi Courtney recorded Quinnipiac's lone hit of the game.
