HAMDEN, Conn. - Red-shirt senior Keilani Finley drilled the game-winning two run double in the sixth inning to give Quinnipiac a 2-1 game one win over UMass Lowell on Sunday, March 25 at the QU Softball Field. Casey Herzog got the win in game one and recorded her 400th career strikeout of her career, making her the second player in program history to achieve the feat. After taking game one against the River Hawks, the Bobcats fell 9-0 in game two.

GAME ONE (QU 2, UMass Lowell 1)

Casey Herzog got the start and went the distance to record her ninth win of the season.
Herzog pitched seven innings, gave up one run and struck out six in the game.
Herzog's final strikeout of the game was the 400th of her career, making her the second player in program-history to reach the plateau.
Herzog's 400 career strikeouts places her second all-time in program history behind Heather Schwartzburg who finished with 969 strikeouts.
Erin Larsen, Rachel Marchuk and Keilani Finley all recorded a hit apiece in the win.
Finley's lone hit drove in the Bobcats' only runs on the day.
After pitching 4.2 innings of scoreless ball, Herzog gave up her lone run of the day on a solo home run to left.
The Bobcats responded in the sixth with two runs after Larsen drilled a one out double to spark the rally.
Lexi Courtney immediately followed by reaching base on an error, then stealing second.
With runners on second and third and two outs, Keilani stepped to the plate and doubled to left center to drive in the game-tying and game-winning run.

GAME TWO (UMass 9, QU 0)

Kendall Brundrett got the start and took the loss.
Brundrett gave up three earned runs and struck out two in the loss.
In 2.2 innings of relief, freshman Haley Hulitt gave up one hit, no runs and struck out a batter.
Lexi Courtney recorded Quinnipiac's lone hit of the game.

Quinnipiac will be back in action on Wednesday, March 25, when the Bobcats play host to Brown University for a doubleheader at the QU Softball Field beginning at 2 p.m.
