
QU Women's Lacrosse Cruises Past Gardner-Webb 18-9 Behind Nine Points from Ashley Bobinski

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Sophomore attack Ashley Bobinski had five goals and four assists for a career-high nine points, and junior attack Allison Kuhn added four goals, as the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team got back on the winning track with an 18-9 win over Gardner-Webb on Saturday afternoon.

- Sophomore attack Ashley Bobinski's nine points on five goals and four assists passed her previous high of eight points (six goals, two assists) set earlier this year against Saint Francis (Pa.).
- Quinnipiac got back to .500 after dropping its last two contests after a three-game winning streak.
- The Bobcats held a 7-1 lead at the half behind a hat trick from sophomore attack Ashley Bobinski
- Gardner-Webb got as close as 10-6 in the second half after back-to-back goals from Abby Hanscom, but Quinnipiac scored the next three goals.
- Bobinski started the 3-0 run with a goal with 13:56 to play, freshman midfielder Shannon Savage followed with a goal, and junior attack Allison Kuhn scored with the Bobcats down a player to make it 13-6
- Loren Antonacci scored to give the Bobcats their largest lead at 17-7, before Gardner-Webb made the final score 18-9.
- Freshman midfielder Avery Drouin started the scoring just 1:24 into the game and added a second goal with 17:41 left in the first half to make the score 5-1.
- Drouin also added a team-best three assists to finish with a career-high five points
- Senior Kiera Kelly led the defense with four caused turnovers and six ground balls.
- Senior goalie Kyle Larkin had 11 saves in 46 minutes
