HAMDEN, Conn. — Closing out the regular season strong, sophomore midfielder Emma Miller-Ayala earned Jersey Mike's MAAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
The Leominster, Mass., native filled up the stat sheet in the Bobcats' 16-9 victory over Sacred Heart that clinched the program's second consecutive MAAC postseason berth, finishing the day with three goals and two assists to go along with four draw controls and a pair of ground ball pickups.
Two of her goals came in the first 15 minutes as the two teams battled back and forth, splitting the first 10 goals of the contest 5-5 before Quinnipiac went on its run to take control. She recorded a pair of points during the Quinnipiac 6-0 run that started at the end of the first half and chipped in an assist late.
This is Miller-Ayala's second weekly award of the 2026 campaign, as she earned Defensive Player of the Week honors on March 9. She was also a 2025 MAAC All-Rookie selection.
Quinnipiac returns to the postseason on Sunday afternoon as they take on No. 3 seed Canisius at Noon in Buffalo, N.Y., with the winner heading to Fairfield for the semifinals the following Friday.
