Gluchowski took advantage of Quinnipiac line change and ripped the puck up-ice to Alex Gilmour who beat Shortridge on the breakaway.
- 9:30 1st, (Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 1): Forchuk handled the puck along the boards before sending it across ice to John Furgele (Glen Mills, Pennsylvania). Furgele then handed the puck to Rafferty at the point who bombed a shot on goal. The puck found the skate of a St. Lawrence player and evaded SLU goalie Arthur Brey to tie the game at 1-1.
- 14:17 1st, (Quinnipiac 2, St. Lawrence 1): Tufto took a pass from Forchuk in the neutral zone and skated on net before deking Brey and walking across the crease to give Quinnipiac a 2-1 lead.

- 18:57 1st, (Quinnipiac 4, St. Lawrence 1): Pieper netted his second of the game on a two-on-one with Kevin Duane when he received a pass on the far side of the net and slipped the puck past the pad of Brey to add to Quinnipiac's lead.
- 14:07 2nd, (Quinnipiac 5, St. Lawrence 1): On the power play, Tufto backhanded a pass to Rafferty across the top of the crease, who roofed the puck to push Quinnipiac's lead to 5-1.
