
Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey Falls To Yale, 3-2

NEW HAVEN , Connecticut – The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team lost to Yale, 3-2, in an ECAC Hockey matchup at Ingalls Rink in New Haven, Conn. The loss drops the Bobcats to 11-14-4 overall and 6-9-2 in league play while Yale improves to 12-11-1 overall and 7-9-1 in ECAC Hockey action.
Brandon Fortunato (North Hills, New York) and Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) both had a goal and an assist while Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) and Bo Pieper (Roseville, Minnesota) also picked up assists in the Bobcats' loss.

- 11:32, 1st (Yale 1, Quinnipiac 0): Bill Sweezey took a pass from Anthony Walsh between the face-off circles, skated wide and wristed a shot that beat Bobcats' goalie Keith Petruzzelli to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
- 19:32, 1st (Quinnipiac 1 Yale, 1): After Quinnipiac's Nick Jermain (Norwalk, Connecticut) drew a penalty on a breakaway, Brandon Fortunato (North Hills, New York scored on the power play to tie the game at 1-1. Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) won a race to the puck in the corner and sent a pass to Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) above the goal line. Fortunato, who sent the puck into the corner from the point, crept to the slot where Priskie wired a pass to his tape.
- 1:12, 2nd (Quinnipiac 2, Yale 1): On the power play, Bo Pieper (Roseville, Minnesota) won the puck in the corner and played it behind his back to Fortunato in the slot. Fortunato one-touched it between his legs to Tufto on the opposite post for the one-timer to give Quinnipiac a 2-1 lead.
- 13:58, 2nd (Yale 2, Quinnipiac 2): Joe Snively sent a shot on net that was knocked down in traffic in front of Petruzzelli. The puck bounced through the crease and over Petruzzelli's stick and blocker and came to rest on Yale's Ted Hart's stick on the back door with a wide-open net.
- 16:57, 2nd (Yale 3, Quinnipiac 2): Hart scored his second goal of the period off a two-on-one that ended with a pass from Dante Palecco to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead.
- Fortunato's goal was his third of the season and ninth of his career. It was also his second goal in his last three games after scoring against No. 3 Clarkson on Feb. 2.
- Tufto's assist was his 25th of the season, and his 32nd point, and extends his point streak to five games in which he's totaled two goals and five assists.
- Tufto's goal gives him his 12th multiple-point game of the season – the most among all NCAA Division I freshmen and the most at Quinnipiac since Sam Anas and Travis St. Denis had 13 in 2015-16.
- Priskie's assist on Fortunato's goal gives him a three-game point streak. He now has two goals and five assists in his last five games.
- Keith Petruzzelli (Wilbraham, Massachusetts) had 27 saves in the game, including 13 in the third period.
