GAME NOTES
- Quinnipiac's overtime win is its first since Apr. 2, 2016 when it defeated Marist, 8-7, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. It was also the first overtime win on its home turf since May 8, 2010.
- It was also Quinnipiac's first win in it's newly-dedicated Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.
- Brown scored the game's first four goals to jump out to a 4-0 lead through the first three minutes of the second period. The Bobcats answered, scoring five-straight games and set the game at tied, 4-4, heading into halftime. Quinnipiac's first lead of the game came with 13:42 left in the third period.
- Brian Feldman (Canandaigua, New York) scored his 98th career goal with 3:17 left in the third period to cap a dominant run for the Bobcats, 9-2, and gave Quinnipiac a 9-6 lead.
- Brown then piled on four-straight goals of its own to steal a 10-9 lead with 11-minutes to play before Frsot tied the game on a pass from Ryan Corcoran (Stratford, Connecticut).
- After Brown re-took the lead with 5:40 to go in regulation, Sam Witt's (Boxborough, Massachusetts) second goal in as many games tied it up and sent the game to overtime.
- Mike Fletcher's four-goal explosion was his first multiple-goal game of his career and doubled his goal output from last season. He now has five goals and two assists for the season.
- Tomsik, who earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors last week after a four-goal outing against UMass Lowell, scoring twice again against the Bears and currently leads Quinnipiac with six goals through their first two games.
- Quinnipiac's win against Brown was just its second in 10 meetings all-time and ended the Bears four-game winning streak in the series. Quinnipiac's last win against Brown came in the Bobcats' 2013 season-opener, 9-7, in Providence, Rhode Island.
- Quinnipiac gained momentum on the strength of 31 groundballs, to Brown's 18, and also won 19-of-27 face-offs in the game.
- In goal, Quinnipiac's Carson Cocco (Westchester, Pennsylvania) stopped 10-of-21 shots-on-goal for the win.
