Five Different Bobcats Score, de Jong Tallies First Career Goal with Game-Winner
HAMDEN, Conn. – Five different Quinnipiac men's ice hockey players scored goals Friday night as the Bobcats extended their winning streak to six games with a 5-3 win over Harvard to open ECAC Hockey Play.
Ethan de Jong (North Vancouver, British Columbia) scored his first career goal for the Bobcats while Brandon Fortunato (North Hills, New York), Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) and Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) all had a goal and an assist in the winning effort.
Brogan Rafferty (Dundee, Illinois) picked up three assists to lead the Quinnipiac attack while goaltender Keith Petruzzelli (Wilbraham, Massachusetts) tallied 34 saves in his fifth straight win.

- (19:35, 1st period) – Quinnipiac 2, Harvard 0: Tufto bookended the Bobcats strong first period with his fifth of the year as he blasted home a one-timer from the slot off a great backhanded feed from Alex Whelan (Ramsey, New Jersey) from behind the Harvard goal
- (00:55, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 3, Harvard 0: Fortunato continued the Bobcats' onslaught early in the second period as he rocketed home a power-play goal from the slot with a one-timer off a feed from Priskie
- (2:27, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Harvard 0: The Bobcats took their largest lead of the game as William Fällström (Stockholm, Sweden) buried home a rebound in front of the crease off an initial shot from Rafferty for a four-on-four goal
- (2:58, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Harvard 1: Harvard's Jack Rathbone ended the Bobcats' scoring streak as he put home a shot off a pass from Frederic Gregoire after a turnover in the defensive zone for the four-on-four goal
- (3:41, 2nd period) – Quinnipiac 4, Harvard 2: Lewis Zerter-Gossage scored the third four-on-four goal in a 1:14 span for either team as he scored off a pass from Adam Fox

- The Bobcats won their sixth consecutive game to open the season, the longest winning streak for the team since a six-game winning streak from March 13 – April 7, 2016 to reach the NCAA National Championship game
- Quinnipiac also had an 11-game winning streak to open up that 2015-16 season, the longest winning streak in program history
- de Jong notched the first goal of his career, becoming the third different Bobcat to record his first career goal
- Fortunato extended his point streak to five games as he buried a power-play goal and added an assist to boost his team-leading point total to 10.
- Priskie tallied a goal for a fourth straight game and now has a goal in five of six games this season as he opened the scoring Friday night
- Priskie increased his career goal total to 27, just one from tying Dan Ennis '03 for the Division I program record of 28
- Tufto notched a goal and an assist for a third consecutive game, and now has scored a goal in five of the six games this season
- Rafferty recorded three assists Friday night for his second career three-assist and three-point game, his first since Nov. 19, 2016
- Fällström found the back of the net for the third time this season and has recorded a point in four of the first six games
- TJ Friedmann (Birmingham, Michigan) picked up his first career point with an assist on Priskie's goal, becoming the 14th player with a point this season and sixth with his first career point
- Cukste recorded his second consecutive two-assist game, just the third two-assist game of his career
- Whelan's assist was his third of the season to give him six points
- Petruzzellimade a season-high 34 saves in Friday night's 5-3 victory for his fifth consecutive win
- Head coach Rand Pecknold picked up the 491st victory of his career as he moves closer to the 500-win mark
- The Bobcats continue the weekend road trip up to the Granite State where they will face Dartmouth Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Thompson Arena
