UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Senior guard Cameron Young led five players in double figures with 15 points, to go along with eight rebounds and a career-high eight assists, as the Quinnipiac men's basketball team captured a 75-70 win over Fairfield on Saturday afternoon at NYCB Live in the first game of a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tripleheader.

- Quinnipiac has won three games in a row for the first time this season, after also defeating Siena on Sunday and Marist on Thursday this week
- The Bobcats improve to 7-4 in the series with Fairfield with the last seven games all decided by five points or less.
- Quinnipiac improves to 7-3 in games decided by five points or less this season.
- Five Bobcats were in double figures for the second straight game, led by 15 from senior guard Cameron Young (Los Angeles, Calif.). Junior guard Andrew Robinson (Takoma Park, Md.) had 14 off the bench.
- Senior guard Isaiah Washington (Williamsport, Pa.) had 11 points in the first half and had the primary defensive assignment on MAAC-leading scorer Tyler Nelson of Fairfield, holding him to 13 points on 4-18 shooting.
- Junior forward Abdulai Bundu (Upper Marlboro, Md.). had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, his first double-double of the season and sixth of his career.
- Quinnipiac led by as many as 11 points late in the second half, but Fairfield closed to within 72-70 with 55 seconds left after forcing a pair of turnovers on Quinnipiac inbounds passes.
- Cameron Young drew a foul on the next Bobcat possession with the shot clock winding down, and made one of two. Nelson had a look a deep three-pointer to tie it, but it hit off the rim and Young was able to grab the defensive rebound in traffic and seal the win with two foul shots.
- The Bobcats used a 19-2 run in the first half to turn a 17-10 deficit into a 29-19 lead after two foul shots from Bundu.
- Jesus Cruz had a double-double for Fairfield with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
- Quinnipiac held Fairfield to just 33.8 percent shooting, a season low for an opponent.
