MAAC MATCH-UPS
The Quinnipiac softball team heads back into conference play as it takes on MAAC rival Iona, in a Saturday doubleheader in New Rochelle, before returning home on Sunday to take on Siena in a doubleheader at the QU Softball Field.
LAST TIME VS. IONA
The Bobcats and Gaels split in the two games they fared off in last season, with Quinnipiac taking game one, 3-2 and Iona taking game two, 7-0. Miranda Magana (Santa Paula, California) 2-for-4 with three rbis, including a walk-off RBI double to win game one.
SCOUTING THE GAELS
Iona owns an 18-18 record this season and is 7-3 in MAAC play. Iona's offense is lead by Kristen Turner, who boasts a team-high batting average of .370, with seven homers and 32 RBIs.
LAST TIME VS SIENA
Quinnipiac swept Siena last season, winning 6-2 and 3-0. Sarah Heimbach (Greenwich, New York) went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in game one. Keilani Finley (Alameda, California) added an RBI as well. In game two, Casey Herzog (Wappinger Falls, New York) threw a complete-game shutout with four strikeouts.

Siena owns a 12-23 record, but have been off to a hot start in conference play, with a 7-3 record against MAAC opponents. Madysen Cossack leads the Siena offense with a .343 batting average and four homers with 19 RBIs.

Casey Herzog (Wappinger Falls, New York) has been impressive in her junior campaign, sporting eight wins with a 3.01 ERA and 80 strikeouts over 116.1 innings.

Rebecca Drake (Whiting, New Jersey) has injected life into Quinnipiac's lineup this season. Drake boasts a team-best .407 batting average and has slugged four homers and driven in 21 runs. Drake also boasts an incredible .618 slugging percentage.
MARVELOUS MAGANA
Miranda Magana (Santa Paula, California) has been one of the team's most consistent hitters so far this season. In 38 games, Magana has an impressive .341 batting average with a team-high six home runs and 20 RBIs.
