Quinnipiac is coming off a hard-luck loss to UConn, 4-3, in Storrs, Conn. on Monday, Apr. 17. The Bobcats trailed 3-1 heading into the seventh, but a two-run inning tied the game. UConn pushed the deciding run across in their final at-bats to sneak out the victory.
Following the Bobcats' mid-week match-up against Bryant, Quinnipiac will host St. Peter's for a three-game series with a doubleheader - nine-inning game, followed by a seven-inning game, on Saturday, Apr. 22 and a single nine-inning game on Sunday, Apr. 23.

- Ben Gibson drove home Brian Moskey and Matthew Batten with a two-out double to tie the game.
- Palladino and Batten were both 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored.
- Brandon Shileikis turned in another impressive performance, allowing one unearned run on three hits over 4 1/3. Shileikis has now allowed one earned run in his last nine innings of work over two relief appearances.
- Matthew Osieja made his 64th appearance of his career, the most of any player in Quinnipiac history. Osieja broke the record previously held by Matthew Lorenzetti '15 and Mike Spahr '05 of 63.
- Andrew Workman was saddled with the loss after giving up the run in the ninth, but had worked two solid innings prior to that. Workman's lone hit, and run allowed, came in the ninth after he entered the game in the seventh. Workman has now appeared in a team-leading 15 games this season.
- Matthew Batten currently leads the team in average (.292), hits (38), doubles (7), triples (1) and stolen bases (11).
- Joseph Burns checks in with a .280 average (35-for-125) with three home runs, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored as well as a team-high .357 on-base percentage.
- Liam Scafariello leads Quinnipiac with 12 home runs and 23 RBI, as well as 22 runs scored and a .552 slugging percentage.
- Mike Davis has snagged the role of the team's closer, converting on six save opportunities this season. Davis has allowed just one earned run in 16 2/3 innings pitched in 13 appearances for a 0.54 ERA while also logging 20 strikeouts.
- The duo of Workman and Osieja has appeared in 15 and 14 games, respectively.
- Chris Enns sits at 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA in 11 appearances with a team-leading 26 strikeouts. Enns has started his last two appearances, winning both games, and allowing one run on nine hits while striking out 11 in 10 2/3 work.
