BACK IN ACTION
The Quinnipiac women's tennis team is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 26, as it travels to take on in-state rival Yale, at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven at 2 p.m.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale comes into the weekend with an 0-7 record, and have yet to play any matches in Ivy League play. The Bulldogs have played a tough out-of-conference schedule, falling to ACC teams such as Syracuse, Boston College, Wake Forest and North Carolina. As well as falling to St. John's, Auburn and Ole Miss.
KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE
After defeating Niagara on Saturday, Feb. 18, including MAAC Tournament matches, the Bobcats are now 30-0 in matches against MAAC opponents since joining the new league coming from the Northeast Conference.
MAAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rachel Horton (Stamford, Connecticut) was named the MAAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week this past week after her performance last weekend. Horton went 2-2 over the weekend, winning one match in both singles and doubles play. Horton earned two wins in Quinnipiac's 6-1 win against Niagara. Horton teamed up with Sydney Young (Austin, Texas) to defeat Sharlee Deshmukh and Sansriti Ranjan, 6-3. Horton later defeated Shannon Wong in the No. 2 singles spot in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-1.
MAAC MONSTERS
In the Bobcats' three MAAC dual matches, they have gone 26-1 in competition. The team has posted a 17-1 record in singles play against MAAC opponents and a 9-0 record in doubles competition.
DOMINANT DUOS
The Bobcats own a 52-20 (.722) record in doubles play this season. The duo of Horton and Young leads the team in wins with 16. However, the team of Layla Rodriguez (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) and Sitilia Rencheli (Sarasota, Florida) sit in second with 12 wins.
CHEMISTRY IS EVERYTHING
Of the 13 different doubles combinations that head coach Paula Miller has used this season, 12 of those duos have winning records.
ALL THEY DO IS WIN
As the team heads into the weekend, Young leads the team in overall wins with 27, while Horton and Rodriguez are tied for second with 25 wins.
STREAKING BOBCATS
Multiple Bobcats own an above .500 record in their last 10 singles matches. Rodriguez and Young lead the way with a 7-3 record in their last 10 singles matches, while Nicole Katzarkov (Coral Gables, Florida) has won six of her last 10 matches.

Following the weekend match against Yale, the Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday, March 4, when the team travels to take on Army West Point at 9 a.m.
