
Bobcats Bested by No. 4 Texas A&M in NCAA First Round

COLLEGE STATION, TX – Quinnipiac women's tennis fell 4-0 to No. 4 Texas A&M in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats wrapped up the season at 18-7 overall, marking the program's highest win total since at least the 2000-01 season. QU entered the NCAA Tournament riding a 13-match win streak and secured its automatic bid with a dominating 4-0 victory over Mount St. Mary's in the MAAC Championship.
Isabella Baker won five games in her singles match against No. 71 Ilinca Amariei, matching Caitlin Flower's program mark from last season for most games won by a Bobcat in an NCAA Tournament singles match. As a team, QU totaled a program-best 24 games. Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower each added four singles games, while the duo also picked up two games together in doubles play.
Quinnipiac has now competed in 15 NCAA Tournament matches under Head Coach Paula Miller. The Bobcats won 6 NEC titles with Miller on the coaching staff, and have now captured nine MAAC championships since joining the league in 2013-14.
