Schulson Clinches MAAC Semifinal Win, Bobcats Seek Ninth Title

PRINCETON, NJ – No. 1 Quinnipiac women's tennis team defeated No. 4 Fairfield 4-1 in the MAAC semifinals to advance to the 2026 MAAC Championship, marking its 12th championship appearance since the 2013-14 season.
The Bobcats secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Anagha Shankar and Vera Sekerina earned a 6-2 victory, while Caroline Schulson and Isabella Sicignano clinched the point with a 6-3 win, their fourth MAAC doubles victory this year.
Willow Renton remained undefeated in MAAC singles play, earning a straight-sets win to give Quinnipiac a 2-0 advantage. Sekerina followed with a three-set victory, bouncing back after dropping the second set and dominating the third 6-0 to put the Bobcats one point away.
Schulson clinched the match with a straight-sets win, sending Quinnipiac back to the MAAC Championship. The appearance marks the first time since 2021 that the Bobcats will not face Fairfield in the championship round.

- The Bobcats extended their win streak to 12 matches, and have won 20 straight MAAC matches between regular and postseason dating back to the 2024-2025 season.
- Caroline Schulson & Isabella Sicignano earned their seventh doubles win of the season.
- MAAC Player of the Year Willow Renton picked up her 15th singles win of the season, remaining undefeated in MAAC singles.
- Vera Sekerina picked up her 11th singles win of the season, and has won six in a row in straight sets. The senior moves to 7-0 in MAAC singles play.
- Caroline Schulson won her 13th singles match of the season.
