HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Women's Tennis prepares for their fourth NCAA tournament appearance in the last five seasons, heading back to Texas A&M where they lost in their last two NCAA Tournament matchups.
The Bobcats enter the weekend having won 13 straight, including the MAAC Championship, dominating Mount St. Mary's 4-0. The Aggies are the 2025 national champion runner ups and 2024 national champions, earning the No. 4 overall seed with a 22-5 record. Texas A&M fell 4-1 to No. 3 Auburn in the SEC Tournament semifinals.

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M
- The Aggies are led by No. 1 Lucciana Perez who was named the SEC Player of the Year. She was joined on the All-SEC list by second-teamer Mia Kupres.
- Perez is 23-0 this season, all in dual action. She finished the SEC slate with a 13-0 ledger. Kupres is ranked No. 50 with a 14-9 record.
- Three other Aggies on the ITA rankings include Ilinca Amariei at No. 71, Daria Smetannikov at No. 98 and Lexington Reed at No. 106.
- Quinnipiac earned its ninth league championship on April 26th. The Bobcats previously won MAAC titles in 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2024-25.
- In the semis, QU clinched a 4-1 win over in-state foe Fairfield, meeting for the fifth straight year in the postseason.
- In the championship match, the Bobcats downed Mount St. Mary's 4-0.
- Vera Sekerina was named the Championship MVP after going 4-0 on the weekend.
- The Bobcats have won 20 straight MAAC matches between regular and postseason dating back to the 2024-2025 season.
- The Bobcats won their 11th MAAC regular season title completing their second straight perfect 8-0 campaign. It was the program's 10th perfect conference regular season since joining the MAAC in 2013-14.
- QU closed out the regular season on an 11 match winning streak with a 16-6 overall record, and have won 16 straight MAAC matches dating back to the 2024-2025 season.
- Head Coach Paula Miller was named MAAC Head Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons, marking her ninth with Quinnipiac.
- Sophomore Willow Renton earned MAAC Player of the Year for the second time in as many years, as well as All-MAAC First Team Singles and All-MAAC First Team Doubles with partner Caitlin Flower unanimously.
- Flower and Vera Sekerina were named to the All-MAAC Second Team Singles while Caroline Schulson and Isabella Sicignano got All-MAAC Second Team Doubles honors.
- The Bobcats also placed a conference-high eight on the MAAC All-Academic Team.
