HAMDEN, Conn. - No. 10/10 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey travels to No. 8/8 Princeton this weekend for a best-of-three ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals series, with the winner moving on to the ECAC Hockey Semifinals. The Bobcats will take on Princeton in Game 1 on Friday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m., Game 2 is on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. and Sunday's Game 3 (if needed) will take place at 3 p.m. on Feb. 26.
LAST WEEKEND
The Bobcats grabbed a pair of wins to close out the 2016-17 regular season last weekend, topping RPI and Union to grab ECAC Hockey's No. 5 seed heading into postseason tournament play.
Quinnipiac first topped Rensselaer on Friday, Feb. 17, 5-0, as senior goaltender Sydney Rossman (Excelsior, Minnesota) recorded her 25th career shutout in the victory, moving into a three-way tie for the program's career record of clean sheets set by Chelsea Laden ('15) and Victoria Vigilanti ('13). She made 15 total saves on the night, and Melissa Samoskevich (Sandy Hook, Connecticut), Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York), Meghan Turner (Bedford, New Hampshire), Kenzie Lancaster (Waxhaw, North Carolina) and Randi Marcon (Winnipeg, Manitoba) all scored in the win.
Rossman then broke the program record on Saturday, helping the Bobcats' top Union, 1-0, on Senior Day to end the regular season. Freshman Abby Cleary (Buffalo, New York) registered her first career goal, the game-winner, in the victory, which helped Quinnipiac finish the season 20-8-6 (13-6-3 ECAC).

- The Tigers have won their last three games, including a big 4-2 victory over No. 3 St. Lawrence two weekend's ago on Feb. 12.
- Princeton is 18-8-6 overall, and currently has the No. 8 offense and No. 11 defense in the nation.
- Karlie Lund has led the way offensively for the Tigers, 21 goals and 21 assists for 42 points. Her 21 goals rank No. 5 in the country.
- Freshman goaltender Steph Neatby is 10-4-1 with a .949 save percentage (No. 2 in the nation).
- Quinnipiac is 12-12-3 all-time vs. Princeton, going 12-2-2 in its last 16 games vs. the Tigers.
- The Bobcats fell to the Tigers in both meetings from the regular season, losing 3-2 on Jan. 1, 2017 and losing 3-0 on Jan. 31, 2017.

ROSSMAN'S RECORD WEEKEND
- Sydney Rossman grabbed a pair of shutouts in last weekend's two victories, becoming Quinnipiac's all-time program record holder for career clean sheets (26).
- She passed Chelsea Laden ('15) and Victoria Vigilanti ('13) in the nine-save effort on Saturday vs. Union. It took the senior netminder 81 career games to break the record. She's also currently on pace to break the program's career save percentage record (.936) and goals-allowed mark (1.15).
- Four current Bobcats' seniors are closing in on the Quinnipiac program record for most games played (149), set by both Nicole Brown and Kristen Tamberg
- Emma Greco has played in 141 career games, Emma Woods and Meghan Turner have played in 146 games, and Taryn Baumgardt has participated in 147 career games at Quinnipiac.
CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT
- Over the past eight years, only three Division I women's ice hockey teams have won 19 or more games each season: Quinnipiac, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
ROAD WARRIORS
- Quinnipiac went 10-4-3 this season away from High Point Solutions Arena, including a six-game road winning stream from Nov. 28 to Dec. 3, 2016 - which is a new program record. Prior to this season, the Bobcats' longest road winning streak came in 2011-2012, when QU won five straight contests away from home from Nov. 12, 2011 to Dec. 9, 2011.

- Quinnipiac ranks No. 1 in the nation in total faceoff percentage (.975), and No. 6 in the nation in total faceoff wins (969).
- Emma Woods (Burford, Ontario) is No. 2 in the nation with 399 individual faceoff wins so far in 2016-17, and No. 5 in the nation in total faceoff percentage (.646).

- Quinnipiac currently ranks No. 2 in the nation in team defense, giving up just 1.32 goals per contest.

- Quinnipiac has scored on 22-of-118 power play chances thus far in 2016-17, a rate of 18.64 percent – which ranks No. 8 in the country.

- Quinnipiac ranked No. 2 in the nation in PK percentage last season, killing off 98-of-106 penalties (92.5 percent). This year, the Bobcats have successfully killed 99-of-112 PK chances, good for 88.4 percent.

- Last year, Quinnipiac scored first in 25 of its 34 regular season games – going 22-0-3 in those games. The Bobcats have scored first in 22 of 34 games so far in the 2016-17 season, going 18-1-3 when scoring first.

CENTURY MARK
- Emma Woods (Burford, Ontario) and Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) both reached 100 career points in the Bobcats' final game before the winter break, a 6-1 win over RPI on Dec. 3, 2016. Woods, the senior captain, reached the century mark in 133 career games (43 goals, 57 assists). Cianfarano, a junior, reached the plateau in 94 games (56 goals, 44 assists).

- The Bobcats were picked as ECAC Hockey's favorite entering the 2016-17 season, finishing No. 1 overall in the ECAC Hockey Preseason Coaches Poll. Junior forward Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) was selected to the Preseason All-ECAC First Team. Last year as a sophomore, Cianfarano led the ECAC with 52 points.
COMMANDING THE CONFERENCE
- Quinnipiac dominated ECAC Hockey play last year, going 16-2-4. The Bobcats finished with 36 overall points, three total points ahead of Clarkson – who went 14-3-5 in conference action. QU allowed just 18 goals in 22 conference games in 2015-16. The Bobcats have gone 7-3-1 in their first 11 conference games this year.
LAST SEASON
- As a team, Quinnipiac is on the heels of perhaps its most impressive season in program history, which ended with an ECAC Hockey Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth. The Bobcats went 30-3-5 in 2015-16, earning the most wins and highest win percentage (.885) in team history. Head coach Cassandra Turner also set the NCAA Record for most wins by a first-year women's ice hockey head coach.

EMMA WOODS
- Woods was unanimously voted by her teammates to be the Bobcats' captain for 2016-17 season.
- Has 12 goals and 11 assists so far this year for the Bobcats, and 47 career goals to go along with 59 assists for 106 points.
SYDNEY ROSSMAN
- Bobcats' goaltender Sydney Rossman had a .949 save percentage a season ago, allowing just .90 goals per game in 39 games (second-best in the nation).
