HAMDEN, Connecticut - The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team advanced to the Championship Game of the Nutmeg Classic after defeating the Yale Bulldogs 2-1 in a shootout after skating to a 3-3 tie. The Bobcats will face the UConn Huskies, who also advanced after winning a shootout after skating to a tie. The Huskies defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Quinnipiac, UConn, Yale, and Penn State will all compete in the 2017 Nutmeg Classic - which will be held at Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum in Storrs, Connecticut on Nov. 24 and Nov. 25.
