LOUDONVILLE, New York - The Quinnipiac men's soccer team was able to earn a crucial three points in the MAAC standings after defeating Siena, 2-0, on the road on Wednesday afternoon.

NOTES

The win was Quinnipiac's third in a row and fourth win in five games.
Quinnipiac outshot Siena 16-8 and 8-2 in shots-on-goal.
Eamon Whelan (New Fairfield, Connecticut) and Rashawn Dally (Bloomfield, Connecticut) each tallied a goal in the contest.
Whelan's game-winning goal came in the 66th minute.
Matthew Taylor (Dublin, Ireland) brought the ball up and fed Paulo Soares (Quincy, Massachusetts). Soares sent a long-ball to Whelan in the box, who punched the ball over the goaltender.
The goal was Whelan's second of the season and second in three games.
Both of Whelan's goals this season have been game-winning goals.
Both Taylor and Soares were credited with assists. It was the third of the season for Taylor and first for Soares.
Quinnipiac's second goal of the contest came in the 77th minute off the foot of Dally.
Whelan shot on goal and the goaltender made the save, however the deflection fell to Dally, who tapped in the goal on the far post.
The goal was the second of the season for Dally and it was the second contest in a row where Dally has scored.
The assist was the first of the season for Whelan.
Chrysostomos Iakovidis (Thessaloniki, Greece) recorded one save en route to his fifth shutout of the season.
The shutout was the 12th of the sophomore's career.
It was the 11th time this season where Iakovidis has held the opponent to one goal or less this season.
It was also the 14th-straight game where Iakovidis has held the opponent to two goals or less.
The win was the 36th of captain James Doig's (Liverpool, England) career, which is the most wins by a player in program-history.
