On the Road Again
The Quinnipiac baseball team continues its current 15-game road trip with a three-game series in Loudonville, New York where the Bobcats will face the Siena Saints in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 PM followed by a single game at 2 PM on Sunday.
All-Time Against Siena
Quinnipiac holds a 3-8 record against Siena in their 11 all-time meetings, with the last seven coming in the past two seasons of MAAC play. Last season, the Bobcats won the season series against the Saints which was played in Hartford due to the weather. The Saints; however, got the best of the Bobcats in the MAAC Tournament where they won 6-5 in a 10-inning game.
Scouting the Saints
Siena comes into the weekend with a 7-19 record and 3-3 mark in MAAC play. Siena opened the season with an 11-game losing streak but have played .500 baseball since then. Siena last played a non-conference game with Fairleigh Dickinson on Apr. 6 where they lost, 10-6. Jordan Bishop leads the Saints with a .333 batting average this season and 18 runs scored while his 32 hits are tied for the most on the team. Coming off his rookie of the year award, Joe Drpich is having an incredible season already where he has compiled a .320 batting average on 32 hits, 15 of which have gone for extra bases. Drpich has 10 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 24 RBIs and 14 runs scored. Tommy Miller will start game one for the Saints as he comes into the game with a 1-5 record and a 5.28 ERA. As a staff, the Saints have a 7.82 ERA and opponents are batting .341 against them.
Last Time Out
The Bobcats won a huge mid-week game over the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils, 9-5, in New Britain, Connecticut. Brian Moskey hit his first career home run and drove in five RBIs to lead the Bobcats. Brandon Shileikis pitched beautifully over the first five innings with just four hits allowed.
Career Day

Teeing It Up
Rob Pescitelli's bat came alive in the victory as he tied for the team lead with three hits. Pescitelli hit a first inning home run to set the tone early, and he also scored two runs and drove in two RBIs. Pescitelli continues to be a force at the plate for the Bobcats.
Matty Bats

Strike 'em Out
Thomas Jankins will take the hill for the Bobcats in the opening game of the series on Saturday after pitching just 2/3 of an inning in his last start due to a rain delay. Jankins currently is 2-3 with a 3.75 ERA and one complete game. He leads the team with 37 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings this season.
