Melissa Samoskevich (Sandy Hook, Connecticut) tallied her 16th goal of the season, her sixth goal in the last seven games. The goal was also Samoskevich's second straight game for the Bobcats. Samoskevich now has 31 points this season, passing Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) for the most points by a freshman in program history.
Cianfarano picked up an assist Saturday night, her 20th assist of the season and 43rd point. With 23 goals this season, Cianfarano became the second player in program history to record at least 20 goals and 20 assists in a season, joining Kelly Babstock who accomplished the feat in 2010-11 and 2012-13.

Woods put the Bobcats up 1-0 just 1:07 into the first period on Quinnipiac's first shot of the game. Cianfarano stole the puck from Clarkson's Savannah Harmon as Harmon tried to skate it out of the Golden Knight's defensive zone. Cianfarano quickly shifted the puck back to Woods at the top of the right faceoff circle where she blasted the puck past Clarkson goaltender Shea Tiley.
The Bobcats held their 1-0 lead until the Golden Knights tied things up with 16:06 left to play in the third period on Loren Gabel's 15th goal of the season. After the puck leaked out to Gabel she worked the puck to her right to Genevieve Bannon streaking down the flank. Bannon fed the puck back across the slot to Gabel who snuck past the Bobcats defense and buried the goal.
Quinnipiac regained a 2-1 lead with their ninth power-play goal in the past 10 games as Samoskevich tallied the goal. Kosta positioned herself at the right point and shifted the puck to Woods on the left wing. Woods fired a pass through the slot to Samoskevich on the back door where she was wide open to bang home the goal past Tiley's blocker.
Cayley Mercer tied the game at 2-2 with her 21st goal of the season as Clarkson pulled Tiley for the extra attacker. Tiley left the ice with 1:02 to play in regulation allowing the extra skater to come on. Erin Ambrose worked the puck down into the left corner of the offensive zone where Shannon MacAulay fed the puck to Mercer who flung the shot through traffic past Rossman. After a brief review, the goal stood to force overtime where the game ended in a tie.
