SCOUTING THE BEARCATS

The Bearcats had previously fallen to Seton Hall, 5-2, and Rutgers, 4-3, after defeating Sacred Heart. All five of Binghamton's dual matches have come in the spring season. The Bearcats are led in wins by Olga Ostrovetsky, who is 14-12 overall, going 7-6 each in singles and doubles. Sara Kohtz is the No. 1 singles player in the lineup, but has a 4-12 mark in singles play, 1-3 in the top spot. Agatha Ambrozy and Ostrovetsky have competed well at No. 2 doubles, winning a match in three of the five matches this season.
FIRST WEEKEND RECAP
Quinnipiac opened up the 2016 spring schedule with their final tournament of the season where they faced UConn, Buffalo and Bryant in shortened matches at the East Hartford Racquet Club. The Bobcats fell to both UConn and Buffalo without winning a match but picked up the win against Bryant, 3-2. Against the Bulldogs, Sophia Dzulynsky, Horton and Jennifer Lu all won singles matches for the Bobcats to earn their first wins of the spring.
HAVEN'T I SEEN YOU BEFORE?
Earlier this season, Rachel Horton and Binghamton's Sara Kohtz faced off in the opening day of the ITA Regionals at Dartmouth College in Durham, New Hampshire. Horton defeated Kohtz in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, to advance to day two.
MODERN FAMILY
Dzulynsky is getting ever so close to winning her 100th career match and becoming the 20th player in program history to do so. Dzulynsky is currently tied with Heather Rahm '04 for 25th all-time with 89 career wins after her singles victory against Bryant. During the fall season, Dzulynsky won 10 matches for the Bobcats before her first win of the spring.
THE ONE WITH THE RACQUET
Horton was on a tear during the fall season as she scorched her way to 22 victories, tied for the most on the team with freshman Proyfon Lohaphaisan. Horton's 14 doubles victories and 23 overall victories are tied for her single-season career-high. In singles play, Horton is just two wins away from tying her single-season career-high.
LUNAR ECLIPSE
Lu picked up her first win of the spring for her 14th career victory in the match against Bryant. With the win in singles, Lu boosts her singles wins total to six to go with her eight doubles victories.
FANTASTIC FALL
Despite not picking up a win in the first weekend back, Lohaphaisan is still second on the team with 21 overall victories, including seven singles wins and 14 doubles wins, tied for the most on the team with Horton. Lohaphaisan and Horton went 14-7 in doubles play in the fall, proving to be a solid doubles tandem.
BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN
