As a Sophomore: Continued to build off ofher impressive freshman year as an offensive force for Quinnipiacas a fixture at the top of the Bobcats' batting orderthroughout the season ... Had a .306 batting average (38-for-124),with a .377 on-base percentage and .397 slugging percentage… Led the team in runs with 27 … Had 11 runs battedin, seven doubles, nine steals, and ten walks ... Had a hugeweekend from April 3rd – April 5th… Over that three game span she went 7-11 with two doubles,three steals, and eight runs scored … With 38 hits thisseason, Courtney now has over 100 hits in her Quinnipiaccareer with a total of 104 hits over her first two seasons ...Solt's 66 hits as a freshman is still the record for most hits in aseason for a Quinnipiac player ... Second on the team with feweststrikeouts only striking out 11 times in 124 at bats ... Against St. Peter’s on April 5thhad a four hit game and scored a career high five runs in the game ...Against St. Johns on March 9th Solt helped spark the comeback in abig come from behind win for Quinnipiac. Courtney's single in thefourth knocked in Alfiere while Solt's heads up base runningallowed her to advance to second on the throw. Solt would score thethe tying run on Abby Johnson's single evening the score as theBobcats would eventually win the game 5-3 ... Courtney also helpedthe Bobcats come from behind against Towson on March 23rd. Soltknocked in the tying run in the top of the fifth which sparked atwo run inning for Quinnipiac as they would go on to beat Towson2-1 ... Against Connecticut on April 3rd Solt's walk in the bottomof the seventh would not only keep the game going but also tie thescore for an eventual 11-10 win ... Against Niagara on May 3rdSolt's RBI triple and run late in the game proved to be thedifference in the game as the Bobcats held off Niagara to win 6-4.Courtney finished the season strong over the the last three games.Over the final three contests she went 5 for 12, scoring two runs,while also adding an RBI, and a triple.
As a Freshman: Was an offensive force in justher first year with the Bobcats, breaking an 18-year-oldsingle-season program record for hits and becoming just the secondplayer in Quinnipiac history to win three Rookie of the Weekhonors…Solt finished her freshman campaign with a .375batting average, .415 on-base percentage, .483 slugging percentage,37 runs, 18 RBI, nine doubles, nine stolen bases and fivetriples…She made an immediate impact as her 66 hits in 2013broke Kerri McMahon’s previous single-season record of 65established all the way back in 1995…Solt also piled up ateam-high nine stolen bases and led the Northeast Conference withher five triples…She also finished in the Top-40 in thenation among hitters as the ‘Toughest to Strikeout’with just seven punchouts in 191 plate appearances…For herefforts Solt was named to the College Sports Madness All-NEC SecondTeam as her all-around numbers staked up nicely alongside hercounterparts throughout the conference…Picked up her firstcareer hit against UNC Greensboro with an RBI double(2/23)…Singled and scored a run against Loyola (Ill.)(3/1)…Went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, two RBI and onestolen base against Ill.-Chicago (3/1)…Singled twice,knocked in a run, walked and stole a career-high two bases againstProvidence (3/2)…Went 3-for-4 against Kent St. with one runscored (3/3)…Doubled twice against Boston Univ. in fourat-bats (3/8)…Had her hottest stretch of the season over aseven-game stretch between March 10-16 as she batted .576(15-for-26) with 11 runs, two doubles and three RBI over theseven-game span…Started the streak with one single and tworuns scored against SIUE (3/10)…Went 2-for-3 with one doubleand one run against Maine (3/12)…Picked up three hitsagainst 2013 College World Series participant South Florida(3/12)…Had a career day going 3-for-5 with two runs and twoRBI against UT-Chattanooga (3/13)…Picked up two hits withtwo runs scored against Maine (3/15)…Starred against Colgategoing 3-for-4 with three runs, one double and one RBI(3/16)…Singled, scored a run and picked up a career-high twowalks against Monmouth (3/29)…Singled and scored a runagainst Stony Brook (4/4)…Went 2-for-4 with one run and onewalk against LIU Brooklyn (4/6)…Went 3-for-8 in a two-gameseries against Mount St. Mary’s with three runs, one RBI andone walk (4/7)…Singled and scored two runs over a two-gameseries against Wagner (4/13)…Had a 2-for-3 day with one runscored against Fairfield (4/16)…Had a stellar day at theplate in a two-game set against Harvard as she combined to go5-for-8 with two runs, one double, one triple and two RBI(4/18)…Combined to go 3-for-6 with two runs, one triple andone walk against Fairleigh Dickinson (4/20)…Reeled off acareer-high eight game hitting streak to end the season as shebatted .481 (13-for-27) with six runs, three triples, six RBI, twostolen bases and one walk over the eight-game span…Combinedto go 3-for-5 with two RBI in two games against CCSU(4/28)…Had a great two-game doubleheader against Manhattanas she went 4-for-7 with five runs, two triples, one RBI, one walkand one stolen base (5/2)…Picked up two hits in each game ofa doubleheader against Robert Morris while knocking in acareer-high three runs in game two of the series(5/4)…Wrapped up her 2013 season with two hits (one triple),one run and one stolen bases in a doubleheader against St. FrancisU, breaking the single-season hits record in the final game of theseason (5/5).
Before Quinnipiac: The Boyertown, Pa. nativewas named 2011 Tom Doyle Tournament Most Valuable Player...Soltcompeted on the PA Tuff N’ Tuffer Gold club team and duringthe summer of 2011 she batted .550, while collecting 42 runs, 18RBI, 14 doubles, nine triples and 36 stolen bases…Inaddition, Solt volunteered as a softball coach and ski instructorand helped organize Community Unity Walk in her hometown…Atwo-year honor roll student, Solt intends to major inpsychology.
