Before Quinnipiac:
Attended Windsor High School where he played varsity soccer for four years. He also played premier level soccer for five years for the World Class Soccer Premier. In 2005, he led Windsor High with 10 goals. He was an all-conference selection and an all-academic selection. Petgrave selected Quinnipiac over the Bentley, Marist, and Bryant.
