Bobcats Fall Short in Series Finale Against Marist

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac softball team dropped the series to Marist, falling 7-3 in the finale on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Marist struck first in the opening inning, capitalizing on a leadoff double with an RBI single to take an early lead.
Quinnipiac quickly answered back in the bottom half. Ally Hochstadter continued to be hot at the plate with a two-run triple before Natalia Apatiga added an RBI single to make it 3-1 Bobcats.
The Red Foxes responded with six unanswered runs across the third through fifth innings to retake the lead and seal the win.
