Monroe Named to First Team, 4 Bobcats Earn All-MAAC Honors

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Quinnipiac men's basketball earned four All-MAAC honors following the completion of the 2025-26 regular season, as revealed by the league office on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Senior Amarri Monroe earned a spot on the All-MAAC First Team, Jaden Zimmerman was selected as an All-MAAC Second Team honoree, Asim Jones made the All-MAAC Third Team and Keith McKnight was named to the All-Rookie Team. Monroe also was named to the All-Defensive Team for his efforts.
Amarri Monroe: All-MAAC First Team / MAAC All-Defensive Team
Amarri Monroe led Quinnipiac in scoring (15.6 PPG), rebounding (8.2 RPG) and in steals (2.3 SPG) during the regular season. He posted 12 double-doubles (nine in MAAC play). The reigning league Player of the Year reached double-figure scoring totals in 28 of 29 games during 2025-26.
Monroe led the Bobcats to a marquee non-conference win at Pitt on Nov. 23. He scored a season-high 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting in the road win, the program's first-ever victory against an ACC opponent.
He also earns a spot on the league's All-Defensive Team after leading the MAAC in defensive rebounds per game (6.31) and finishing second in steals per game (2.34).
Monroe has now been selected as an All-MAAC performer in each of his three seasons at Quinnipiac.
Jaden Zimmerman: All-MAAC Second Team
The sophomore averaged 15.5 points per game during a breakout sophomore campaign. Zimmerman also posted 2.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game during 2025-26. He scored a season-best 26 points at Central Florida on Nov. 25.
Zimmerman scored 15 or more points in 15 different games. He was named MAAC Player of the Week on Dec. 8 after leading the Bobcats to a pair of wins to begin conference play.
Asim Jones: All-MAAC Third Team
Transfer guard Asim Jones averaged 12.7 points, 3.9 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game in his first season at Quinnipiac. Jones shot 44.8% from the field, and 47.9% from 3-point distance.
The senior posted 14.3 points per game in league play, including a 30-point performance against Manhattan on Jan. 19 and a 29-point effort against Canisius on Mar. 1.
Keith McKnight: MAAC All-Rookie Team
McKnight made an immediate impact with the Bobcats during his first season in Hamden. He finished the regular season averaging 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, shooting 55.0% from the floor.
The first-year forward recorded his first collegiate double-double against Manhattan on Jan. 19, and poured in a career-high 22 points in QU's most recent contest at Canisius on Mar. 1.
The Bobcats also placed five student-athletes to the All-Academic Team: Ronell Giles, Grant Randall, Samson Reilly, Braylan Ritvo and Spence Wewe. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Quinnipiac finished the regular season at 19-12 overall (12-8 MAAC), earning the No. 4 seed in the upcoming 2026 MAAC Men's Basketball Championship in Atlantic City.
The Bobcats have gone 42-18 in regular season MAAC contests over the last three seasons (2023 – current) under Head Coach Tom Pecora.
Quinnipiac will take on No. 5 Marist in the quarterfinal round of the MAAC Tournament on Saturday, March 7 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
