HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's lacrosse used a strong second half to power past Manhattan on Saturday afternoon, topping the Jaspers by the final score of 17-9 from the QU Lacrosse Stadium. The Bobcats improve to 6-5 in 2026 with the victory.

Sophomore Emma Miller-Ayala led the offensive charge for Quinnipiac, registering five goals in the victory. She also had three ground balls and three draw controls.

Mia Delmond and Julia Givens each chipped in with four goals and one assist for five points. Cate Bendowski also reached five points, dishing out a team-high total of four assists.

The Bobcats led Manhattan 8-7 at the break in action. Quinnipiac then outscored the Jaspers 4-1 in the third quarter and 5-1 in the fourth to earn the MAAC win. Mia Delmond, Emma Miller-Ayala and Julia Givens all found the back of the net twice during the second-half scoring outburst.

NUMBERS & NOTES

Quinnipiac outshot Manhattan 39-20 in total. The Bobcats tallied 14 shots in the second quarter alone.
Emma Miller-Ayala is now up to 30 points for the season. She set a new season-high mark in both goals (5) and points (5) in the win. The sophomore has 11 goals over the last three games.
After a four-goal performance, Julia Givens leads the Bobcats with 27 goals for the 2026 campaign.
Mia Delmond is now up to 26 goals, just one behind Givens for the team lead.
Cate Bendowski is up to 29 assists and 46 points – both a team-best mark. She's registered four assists in three different games already this year.
Senior Bridget Clarke started in goal for the Bobcats. She made two saves in the first quarter of action.
Shannon Alden made four saves in relief. She had a pair of big stops during the fourth quarter to help clinch the win.
Anna Givens caused three turnovers, scooped up three ground balls and tallied two points (1 goal, 1 assist).
Julia Givens led Quinnipiac with four draw controls.
The Bobcats are now 12-3 against Manhattan since 2000. QU has now taken three of the last four meetings.
