Late Push Sends Bobcats to Dramatic Late Loss
3/25/2026 10:32:00 PM | Women's Lacrosse
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse program was on the short end of a wild finish on Wednesday afternoon, as Canisius scored three consecutive goals in the game's waning moments to flip a 14-12 deficit into a buzzer-beating, 15-14 victory over the Bobcats.
Julia Givens gave the Bobcats a two-goal advantage with 3:11 to go and it look as if Quinnipiac was going to ice the rest of the game away but the host Griffs scored three times in the final 79 seconds of the contest, including the winner with 0.2 on the clock to steal the victory.
Canisius flew out of the gates, scoring four of the first five goals but Quinnipiac battled back to tie the game with 13 seconds left in the first half. Peyton Choma had four of her five points in the first 30 minutes of action.
Nobody would have a lead larger than two in the second half, as the team's traded three-goal runs, with Quinnipiac's giving them a 12-11 lead at the 12:58 mark of the fourth.

The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse program heads home for a Senior Day Saturday matchup, as the Bobcats take on the Jaspers at Noon in Hamden.
