Bobcats Extend Win Streak to Three with Comeback Win over Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse program erased a six-goal deficit late in the second quarter and scored 12 of the last 16 goals of the game to run out of Furman with a 16-14 victory to end non-conference play on Sunday afternoon.
Quinnipiac scored three of the opening four goals of the contest in the first 10:48, with Julia Givens potting a pair to make it 3-1 to the visitors.
Furman then went on a run of 9-1 in the next 13:28, taking a 10-4 lead at the 5:44 mark of the second quarter.
The Bobcats scored the next four to cut the deficit to 10-8, with three of the tallies being assisted by Brie Provenzano.
After Furman answered back with a pair to extend the lead back to four, Quinnipiac ripped off seven of the next eight to take a two-goal lead with less than six minutes to play.

The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse program begins MAAC play on Saturday when they host Niagara at Noon in Hamden.

STATS AND NOTES
- Quinnipiac's 27 points and 11 assists are the most by a Bobcat team this season.
- Mia Delmond finished with five goals and seven points on the day, both of which are season-bests. She has 12 goals over her last three outings and 18 on the year.
- Peyton Choma recorded her second hat trick of the season and posted five points, the highest mark of her collegiate career.
- Cate Bendowski has four or more points in six consecutive outings after three goals and three assists on Sunday. Her six points matches her career-best, last done against Bryant on March 4.
- Provenzano extended her multi-point game streak to seven with a three-point outing. She has recorded 23 points in her last seven games.
- Givens has scored a goal in all eight of her outings, currently sitting on 16 for the season.
- Miller-Ayala's eight draw controls match her career-high, last set against Canisius on April 16.
