Bobcats Secure MAAC Series Win over Iona

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats struck first in the opening inning with Sofia Vega scoring on Natalia Apatiga's caught stealing. Quinnipiac extended their lead in the second as Aryn Bombery delivered a two-run single to right center to make it 3-0.

Vega stayed hot at the plate, leading off the third with a double down the left field line before scoring on a hit from Natalia Apatiga to push the lead to four.

Kinsley Cox added two more runs with a single to left center, breaking open Quinnipiac's lead 6-0.

Iona cut into the deficit with a run on a groundout in the third and another on a double in the fourth.
The Bobcats added an insurance run in the seventh when Kennedy Demott drove in a run with an RBI single.

Vega led the offense, going 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored.
Shannon Kendall earned her seventh win of the season, tossing her fifth complete game while allowing two runs on seven hits.
