
DeMott’s 10 RBI Day Powers Bobcats to Doubleheader Win Over Niagara

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
Quinnipiac opened the scoring on a groundout from Kennedy DeMott, bringing home Sofia Vega.
Niagara responded with three runs between the third and fourth to take the lead, but the Bobcats answered right back.
Riley Potter cut the deficit with an RBI double before Noelle Reid tied the game with an RBI single. Mary Fogg followed with a two-run single to put Quinnipiac back in front.

Niagara evened the score again in the fifth, but the Bobcats regained control after Reid's third hit of the game led to a go-ahead run following a fielding error.
DeMott added an insurance run with an RBI single to make it 7-5. Niagara plated another in the seventh, but Quinnipiac held on for the win.
Shannon Kendall earned her eighth win of the season, tossing her sixth complete game while allowing three earned runs and striking out five.
Game Two
Niagara struck first, but Quinnipiac responded with nine unanswered runs to take control.
The Bobcats broke the game open with a six-run second inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Riley Potter, Aryn Bombery, Noelle Reid, and a two-run double from Kennedy DeMott.

DeMott continued her big day at the plate, launching a three-run home run in the fourth to extend the lead.

Niagara answered with three runs in the fifth, but Quinnipiac quickly responded.
Natalia Apatiga delivered an RBI single before DeMott sealed the win with her second three-run home run of the game, securing a walk-off run-rule victory.

Laney Adie earned her third win of the season, pitching a complete game while allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out three.
Quinnipiac improves to 7-1 in MAAC play.
