
Bobcats Fall Short in OT at Canisius

BUFFALO, NY – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse dropped a MAAC contest in overtime by the final score of 9-8 at Canisius.
Cole Marsala led the Bobcats with three goals and one assist on the day, while Nate Watson chipped in with two goals.
The Bobcats scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter to take the lead, then Canisius scored twice in the fourth to force overtime.
Dawson Wade scored the game-winner for the Golden Griffins in overtime to give the home team the victory. Sophomore midfielder Carson Christy notched his first hat trick of the season for the Golden Griffins.

Canisius led 3-1 after the first quarter of action. Nick Meoni scored the Bobcats' lone goal during the first 15 minutes.
The Golden Griffins then played to a 3-2 advantage in the second frame, taking a 6-3 lead into halftime. Cole Marsala and Nate Watson each scored for QU in the second.
The Bobcats would bounce back, however, scoring five consecutive times to open the second half and take an 8-6 advantage. Cole Marsala scored twice for Quinnipiac during the third-quarter run.
The Golden Griffins scored twice in the fourth to tie things 8-8 and force overtime, then Dawson Wade ended the contest less than two minutes into the extra frame.
