Bobcats Drop Matchup at Bryant

SMITHFIELD, RI – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse dropped a non-league matchup at Bryant, 14-7, on Saturday afternoon at Beirne Stadium. The Bobcats fall to 1-3 in non-conference action with the loss.
Nate Watson paced the offensive attack for the Bobcats with three goals, while Ethan McGerald added a pair of goals. Justin Robbert chipped in with one goal and two assists.
Dawson Rielly and Caden Lennon both scored four times to lead Bryant.

GAME REWIND
Bryant took an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter, then Nate Watson found the back of the cage for Quinnipiac's first goal of the contest. The Bulldogs then scored four more consecutive goals to extend the lead to 7-1. Bryant took a 9-2 lead into the break after five different Bulldogs found the back of the cage in the first half.
Ethan McGerlad scored twice for the Bobcats in the third quarter and Chase Young also registered a goal. Quinnipiac cut the deficit to 11-5 at the end of three periods.
Nate Watson made it 11-6 when he scored to open up the fourth frame, then Bryant scored three more times to put the game out of reach (14-6). Nate Watson picked up the seventh goal of the contest for QU with just over a minute remaining.

The Bobcats return to play next Saturday, Feb. 28, traveling to Vermont to continue the non-conference schedule.
