Frank, Blacker, Hogarth Combine for 32-save shutout in victory
HAMDEN, Conn. — Kahlen Lamarche and Laurence Frenette recorded multi-point nights and the trio of Bobcat goaltenders pitched a shutout on Saturday afternoon, as the Quinnipiac women's ice hockey program knocked off UConn 3-0 in exhibition action at M&T Bank Arena.
The two scored first-period tallies to get the No. 10 ranked Bobcats off and running, with goals 0:24 and 16:23 into the frame.
Felicia Frank made 11 stops in the first period, Tatum Blacker added seven in the second and Calli Hogarth closed the game with 14 saves in the final 20 minutes as all three combined to keep the No. 12 Huskies off the board.
Zoe Uens added a third-period tally on the power-play, firing a second attempt through the crowd and into the net after her initial shot was blocked to finish Quinnipiac's scoring.

The regular season begins on Sept. 26, as the Bobcats welcome Hockey East foe Maine for a two-game series at M&T Bank Arena. Puck drop is slated for a 6 p.m. start on Friday night before a 3 p.m. Saturday game time.

STATS AND NOTES
- Lamarche had four such games of a goal and assist a season ago and finished the season with points in seven of her last nine outings.
- Frenette stayed hot after coming off a career offensive year, finishing with nine goals and nine assists in 2024-25, both collegiate bests.
- Hogarth saw her first action in a Bobcat uniform, making 14 saves in the final 20 minutes. She made 625 of them in 23 starts as a junior at Merrimack in 2024-25.
- Seven different Bobcats recorded points, with Aynsley D'Ottavio, Ella Sennick, Emerson Jarvis and Alex Law all dishing assists.
- The Bobcats won 26 of 48 faceoffs, with Jarvis leading the way with 11 victories.
