Law, Bairos Multi-Goal Games Lead No. 6 Bobcats to Sweep

Cassidy Lobisser Records First Collegiate Goal
HAMDEN, CT – The No. 6 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team earned a dominant 6-1 victory over Providence on Saturday afternoon, securing their second straight series sweep this season.
The Bobcats jumped out to an early lead with three first-period goals. Alex Law opened the scoring less than five minutes in with her second opening goal of the season.
Avery Bairos doubled the advantage later in the frame before Law struck again for her first multi-goal game of the season, giving Quinnipiac a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.
Providence got on the board in the second period, but the Bobcats responded with three unanswered goals in the third.
Bairos recorded her first collegiate multi-goal game with an early tally to open the third period. Cassidy Lobisser extended the lead on a breakaway just minutes later, netting her first collegiate goal. Aynsley D'Ottavio added the final goal of the afternoon to seal the 6-1 victory.
Natalia Dilbone made her collegiate debut in goal, stopping 14 shots to earn her first career win.
