
Women's Ice Hockey Announces 2025-26 Leadership Group

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey program and head coach Cassandra Turner have announced the leadership group for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The group was announced to the team at the annual end of season banquet this spring.
Mia Lopata will serve as the team's captain while Zoe Uens, Tessa Holk, Tatum Blacker, and Emerson Jarvis will be assistant captains for the upcoming season.
Mia Lopata - Captain
Lopata returns for her fifth year in a Bobcat uniform, having played in 111 games on the blue line. She's notched 11 points and been a steady defender for QU during her time in Hamden.
Zoe Uens - Assistant Captain
Zoe Uens will be a senior this season, and has a been a mainstay on the blue line for the Bobcats since joining the squad as a first year in 2022. She has finished top five on the Bobcats in blocked shots in every season while leading the squad a season ago with 65. Offensively, she's tallied 24 points in 114 games.
Tessa Holk - Assistant Captain
After joining the Bobcats as a junior a season ago, Holk has been named an assistant captain for this season. She made an immediate impact, playing in all 38 games while tallying 10 points. She had a season-high three points against Sacred Heart on Nov. 29.
Tatum Blacker - Assistant Captain
In her fourth season in Hamden, Blacker has been named an Assistant Captain. She has added depth to the Bobcats' goaltender rotation, having played in one game, allowing only one goal and making 11 saves.
Emerson Jarvis - Assistant Captain
Jarvis enters her third season in Hamden after transferring in her sophomore year. She has played in 67 games in that time, scoring 24 points and had a season-high three assists in QU's win over St. Lawrence a season ago.
