Softball Drops Doubleheader to Fairfield on Senior Day

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Softball fell in both games of its doubleheader with Fairfield this afternoon to end its regular season.
In game one, QU opened the scoring with Kennedy Demott singling to score Sofia Vega. Fairfield would come back with runs in the second, third, and seventh innings to take a 4-1 lead and QU would not be able make up the deficit.
In game two, the Bobcats fell 6-0. QU pitched all three senior pitchers in the game, Taylor Walton, Jaclyn Gonzalez, and Sydney Horan. Fairfield scored runs in the second, third, fourth, and fifth inning to win.

- Madison Waltke and Noelle Reid each had two hits, including a double for Waltke.
- Waltke now has five multi-hit games this season, fifth most on QU and the most by any first year player.
- Mac Davis and Ava Tabangcura each had a stolen base.
- Davis continues to extend her career high with now seven stolen bases this season.
- Riley Potter and Madison Waltke extended their on base streak to five games, the most on QU.

- Brooke Hilliard had a steal, her second of the season.
