HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse dropped its regular-season finale vs. Merrimack, 10-9, in overtime on Wednesday afternoon at the QU Lacrosse Stadium.

Casey Herod scored the game-winner in overtime for the Warriors. Herod led Merrimack with four goals on the day.

Nate Watson paced Quinnipiac with three goals and one helper, while Justin Robbert chipped in with two goals and two assists. Trevor Douglas also scored a pair of goals for the Bobcats.

Quinnipiac (2-6 MAAC) has clinched the No. 6 seed in the upcoming MAAC Tournament, and will begin action in the league quarterfinals on Sunday, April 27 at Canisius.

Merrimack outshot Quinnipiac 48-28 in total. The Warriors won 14 of 23 faceoff battles.
Nate Watson is up to 36 points for the season after his four-point performance. The sophomore leads QU with 23 goals.
Justin Robbert is also up to 36 points to tie Watson for the team lead through 13 regular season games. Robbert has 15 assists (team-best total).
Mason Oak made 12 more saves in front of the cage for the Bobcats.
Trevor Douglas scored a pair of goals and added one assist. He now has 13 goals in 12 contests.

Max Pauwels won 7-of-11 faceoffs and scooped up five ground balls. Tommy Andruzzi also recorded five ground balls for QU.
Merrimack has taken two of three meetings against the Bobcats over the past three seasons.

Quinnipiac will now ready for the quarterfinal round of the 2025 MAAC Tournament. The Bobcats (#6 seed) will head to Canisius (#3 seed) with a trip to the semifinals on the line.
