
Bobcats Sweep Manhattan in Tuesday Doubleheader

In game one, neither team could score until Sofia Vega broke the scoreless tie with a three-run homerun to center field. QU followed that up with a run in the fifth from Kennedy Demott single and three runs in the seventh on doubles from Ally Hochstadter and Riley Potter. Manhattan would get four back in the seventh but it wouldn't be enough as QU held onto win 7-4.

In game two, QU fell behind 1-0 but came back with four runs in the fourth inning. Riley Potter got the scoring started with an RBI double before Madison Waltke, Sofia Vega, and Noelle Reid each had RBI singles. Ally Hochstadter ended the scoring in the fifth inning with an RBI double.

Game One
- QU reached double digit wins in MAAC play for the first time since 2016 when they had 11 wins.
- Sofia Vega hit her team-leading third homer of the season.
- Vega now also leads the team in three-RBI games, with three this season.
- She is now tied with Natalia Apatiga in multi-RBI games with six each.
- Ally Hochstadter had her first multi-hit game of the season.
- Sydney Horan only gave up three hits in 6.1 innings, the sixth time this season she allowed three or less hits.
- QU is 4-2 in those games.
- The Bobcats tied their program record with their 11th win in MAAC play this season with six games to go.
- Madison Waltke had two hits for her third multi-hit game of the season, she leads all First Year players on QU in the category.
- Sydney Horan notched her 14th win of the season, pitching all seven innings.
- She now leads the country in complete games with 21 this season.
The Bobcats will stay on the road, facing Sacred Heart this weekend in a three-game series. QU will play games at 12:00 and 2:00 PM on Saturday before a single game at noon on Sunday.
